Synaptic Versioning

The open, visual, and semantic way to envision the path to who you want to be and build the map to get there.

Age is Obsolete Technology

Culture and civilization used to be slow moving and people of different age cohorts generally shared similar paths, wisdom, and knowledge. Making progress as a individual and community member was largely correlated with age, so tracking age was a valid proxy for tracking progress.

Now, we live in wildly divergent, branching, chaotic world where teenagers can transform the world while many older adults still act like teenagers. The world is simply no longer as static as it once was and those who thrive are those who can rapidly change, adapt, and evolve.

Semantic versioning is a better way to personally represent your own progress as a human being. It can help free you from the embedded discourse and societal expectations tied to age, generations, and demographics. You are on a unique path and using the oldest, most primitive technology we have to represent that path, the mere passage of time, is another form of self-limitation we must leave behind if we are to truly progress, both individually and as a civilization.

The Tools

Set daily goals, track your habits, define milestones, and continuously advance your version. Synaptic Versioning keeps you focused on what really matters, your own path to becoming more of who you really are and want to be.
